No internet Access using mobile data on my iPhone

Avatar Rick Churchill
My iPhone when not connected via Wi-Fi now refuses to open any website.

In Mobile Service.
Mobile data is on
Data Roaming is off
Low Data mode is off

In Safari
My default browser is Safari
My search engine is DuckDuckGo

In Advanced
Block all cookies is disabled

I can’t think of any other relevant switches.

Messages with attachments work fine and I don't think that 02 are throttling my data because I have used my monthly allowance. I would expect them to message me.
My monthly data renews on the first of the month so I have not log to wait.

Any ideas?

Have you accidentally put it into Airplane Mode?
If not it’s worth checking that you can still make calls

Do you have a network icon at the top of your display? If so, how many bars, if not then retry from somewhere else. I have noticed (sometimes) that as the phone starts-up it briefly displays the network type too - that might be informative.

Presumably O2 is showing at top-left. Presumably (in Mobile Service) your Network Selection is showing as O2 (eg not some long-expired eSIM or whatever).

You could try popping out the SIM card and reinserting it lest it's somehow become unseated.

***SOLVED***
I had access to the phone network as I could make calls and send emails and messages. I had 4G and a few "bars" showing but no internet ability except when connected to Wi-Fi. I tried turning the phone off and on again.

At Tony's suggestion I removed and reseated the SIM card.
Everything is now normal. Weird!

'Weird' is the new normal.

Pleased it's fixed, whatever the root cause was.
