I am sending text in an email and want to attach some jpeg images. When I click on the paperclip icon to attach, the whole image appears, on my previous ancient mac I could right click on the image to convert to 'view as icon', on my almost new mac that option does not usually appear when I right click. Google just suggest sliding the image around in the email, doesn't work for me. Very occasionally the 'view as icon' option does appear and works, but I find it removes a previous attachment icon. Help!
By default, Apple Mail will display smaller files "in line" whilst larger ones show as an icon. This will be the same for the recipient if they use Apple but Windows users will see the attachment as an icon. It makes no difference to the mechanics of sending or receiving email.
