Finding the junk folder in mail

Avatar Richard I
Hi, my wife’s iPad will not show a junk folder for her iCloud mail account. In the mailbox view, if you press edit, ‘junk’ does not appear in the list of mailboxes that you can add.
Yet on my iPad, I can see a junk mailbox for my iCloud mail account
She suspects that she is missing some emails because they’ve gone to junk and yet she can’t access them

Can you help?

Sign in to iCloud mail via your web browser, you will then be able to check your Apple email account.

I don't get a Junk item that way either.

However, further down in the left column I have:
iCloud >
where the '>' is a disclosure button. Tapping that gives me all the boxes for the iCloud account, including Junk. Do you have that option?

Afraid not -clicking the disclosure button reveals just Drafts, Sent and Bin
Could it be something in mail settings?

Do you get the same results on your Mac?

My iCloud account when viewed on the Mac has a junk folder. My wife’s iCloud account is only registered on one device -an iPad
