I have been looking through my photos using the 'photos' app on the mac and have come across numerous instances of duplicate photos to the immediate right of the originals. Oddly, they sport odd alphanumeric file names such as "XNPQ3106.JPG" rather than the original style of "IMG_20170223_095755.jpg"
All other metadata appears to be the same.
Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening?
