I'm desperate to find a way to avoid taking this beautiful machine to the tip. A real styling classic as featured in
this video

This Mac took offence at being replaced back in 2009 and promptly stopped working, so it has been a desk ornament ever since. Now its replacement has in turn been replaced, this one has to go.

Because it won’t power up, I’ve been unable to erase the hard drive so have had to remove it for security. However apart from that, the machine is complete with speakers, keyboard and mouse, all cables, original documentation and disks.

It would make a good renovation project - and I believe people have even turned them into desk lamps and fishtanks!

Any ideas on a trauma-free way of moving it on would be appreciated.

Okay, strike up the funeral dirge - we took the G4 to the tip this morning. It was though taken to one side (hopefully for re-cycling) so at least I was spared the trauma of seeing it tossed into the skip.
