Storing Digital Data

Avatar Roy Rainford
Wondering how best to record and store, securely, all my electronic data. I need an inventory of account numbers, user names, log-on IDs, passwords and answers to 'secret' questions. Must be kept so that attorneys/executors can access when I am no longer around!

I use a program called 1Password and find it very good

Print them out and keep with your will and EPA?

Thanks Doug and Trevor for the useable solutions. Might do both, being a 'belts and braces' man!

I second Doug - 1Password is excellent. It's not free and not especially cheap but very versatile. However, you do need a master password or phrase to open it to access your details. Without this, I believe the authors (Agile Bits) say they can't break in for you so someone besides you needs to know and remember this to be able to "when you're no longer around"!

Thanks Mick. Looks like it's going to be 1Password, either the stand-alone version or subscription.

Not sure if you want these details on more than one device but 1Password will sync between Mac, iPad & iPhone.
