The iPhone has several features to help anyone involved in, or encountering, an emergency. We looked at three aspects: 1. how to set up the information any medic might need if they came to your aid and could not obtain it directly from you. We looked at how that medic could access that information. 2. how calls can be made in the event of an emergency and how to set up that facility. 3. using what3words to report a location.
Euan then warned members to be alert to a scam which is all too common and takes the form of a text message purporting to come from a courier trying to deliver you parcel. It suggests the delivery failed and that now you should click on a link to re-arrange. Sadly it is not from a legitimate courier but someone seeking to steal your personal details were you to respond to the link.
