Fareham — Oct 4th 2025

A very small turnout of members- four- at Warsash this month. Stuart, having used macOS 26 Tahoe for a couple of weeks, ran through some of the new features, likes and dislikes, possible issues, etc. For those sitting on the fence, though Sequoia and Ventura will still be getting security upgrades for a while, Tahoe, though clearly a work in progress (a few elements of inconsistency in the updated liquid glass interface look) is generally stable and reliable (some, naturally, disagree). Anyone on an Apple silicon Mac (and the very few supported Intel models) should at least consider giving it a go. Ars Technica's Andrew Cunningham has continued the site's tradition of comprehensive (not quite exhaustive, like those of John Siracusa) reviews of macOS versions, recommended reading https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2025/09/macos-26-tahoe-the-ars-technica-review/ Hopefully, a rather higher attendance next month!
