A select bunch of us gathered to hear Brian show us a neat way to show a photo or graphic as the icon for a Mac folder using just Preview (to select the part of the photo you want to use) and the Get Info window of the folder. This way you can have folders that have an icon to suggest or describe their contents as well as the usual name.

This was followed by Mick extolling the virtues of the calendar app (which lots of us seem not to use) including the basic event creation as well as repeating events focussing on the Custom option used for our Salisbury meetings on the last Tuesday of the month. There was also a brief look at setting events in different time zones for those of us who travel abroad.

As usual, the last part of the meeting was given over to Q&A including showing how a Time Machine drive which was thought not to have been set up correctly was in fact working perfectly.
