Despite having three regulars unable to attend, we still had nine people turn up to hear Simon give the first of two sessions on using the Shortcuts app. In this one, he took us through, looking at what the app is designed to do and what it is capable of using some of his own shortcuts to demonstrate, including a spoken message “have you closed the car window?“ which plays automatically when his phone detects it has lost contact with the bluetooth in the car. Next month he will show us how to actually build our own shortcuts
In the second part of the meeting, Mick, showed us how to organise our photographs within the Photos app on both a Mac and an iPad. Both devices are able to cope with folders and albums but keywords is only available on the Mac.
We finished off with a fairly lively question and answer session!
