Rick now has over 100 apps on his phone so is well placed to offer a selection of some that we may not know of yet may find useful. He made a selection of these and took us through how each of them worked and how he used them. There was naturally a bias towards his interests of cycling and bird watching but plenty of others ranging from the very useful to plain entertaining.

The apps he showed were:

PlotaRoute.com - Internet website GPS route maker (free)
DocsToGo (dataviz.com) - Syncing Microsoft docs (£?)
Komoot - Walking/Cycling (free/£20) using Minoura bicycle clamp
BirdGuides - Bird finder (£40 sub)
Collins Bird Guide - Identification Database (£15+ extra video)
BBC Sounds - “Catchup” BBC radio (free)
Road Trip LE - Car mpg record (free for a single car)
RBdigital - Poole Library magazines (free) (Libby from 7th April requires Library card code)
Handy Level - Fun spirit level (free)
Planets - Constellation and Planet identification (free)
Tides Planner (Imray) - State of the tide (free?)
ShipTracking - Ship identification (free)
PictureThis - Plant identification (£20 sub)
ESi - ESRTP5WW (Hardwired) Thermostat controller (£70)
LightTrac - Photographer’s sun/moon shadow (free)

Hi Rick, thanks for taking us through loads of your Apps. I have downloaded and installed a couple of the ones mentioned and will be checking out some of the others. Very interesting session.
