Mick Burrell gave a talk on the oft confusing term ‘Things in the Cloud’. Whilst it has become a generic term Mick focused exclusively on the Apple elements - iCloud and iCloud Drive. Why are there two and are they different? If there is one thing to take away it is this: iCloud synchronises while iCloud Drive stores. He then gave details on how to set up access to both elements on each of your devices. Mick also went into detail on the various Photo synchronisation options together with the pros and cons of using the facility. Finally a word of warning - when Apple issues a ‘memory getting full’ message check to see if the memory in question is your allocation in the Cloud or the memory in the particular device you are working on at the time. The action needed to address the issue differs according to which memory is being brought to your attention.
