The opening presentation was by Michael Corgan travelling from Bridport to show us Spotlight an app that is present on all Macs and is found by selecting the magnifying glass top right in your menu bar, he explained that this app does a lot more that you would think.

it is not just used to find mislaid files, there are loads of features that are not used by most of us and did not know were available.
Local weather, find a restaurant or cinema, it will do several conversions including currency conversion.

During the break Lawrence and Mick showed us a series of short movie of nocturnal visiting hedgehogs that came to their gardens for a feed and a fight, Mick show a movie of a young fox dining on the hedgehogs food.

Michael then showed us a selection of apps on his MacBook, some free and some paid for, among them were City Mapper, Aircraft tracking, The Met Office, Wot Wine and a couple intriguing games, Maurice showed us Ship Finder.

The meeting ended with Ewan showing us a short Stop-Motion Movie shown at Dorchester created by Andrew Prendergast.
