Based on his visit to a marvellous private museum “somewhere on earth”, Tony led us through the evolution of Apple products under the guiding eye and drive of Steve Jobs from the first Apple computer to the iPad — including Steve’s development of Next computer whilst he was away from Apple — and how Next heralded the second era of Apple’s recovery following his return. Tony set challenging questions based on this history including working out where the museum is located — and yes, that must remain a secret.

After the break we had a useful discussion about the recently reported kernel design flaws in almost all CPUs (other than the Apple Watch) resulting in the security flaws ‘Meltdown’ and ‘Spectre’. The conclusion is to keep all systems updated with any new security patches and maintain disciple when checking emails and websites for ‘social engineering’ scams There was a general discussion about Safari Extensions.
