Starting with a Q&A, where items discussed were, Michael asked about using iPhone as a Sat-Nav with a reminder that using your iPhone in your car may be considered an offence, but the iPhone works well as a Sat-Nav, Barry told the group about a vey helpful web site MacMost where loads of hints and tips can be found. Jola asked how to set out photos into albums. Annie told us about Apple’s help tutorial where Apple will take you through the details of a new iWatch.

In a change from the plans, Brian presented how to create the easy way to make a 3D photo from photos on your Mac, using a free app GIMP, he showed it was quite a simple process, then, stopping a movie to take a screen shot and producing a 3D picture from it, 3D pictures must be viewed using the special glasses, several were supplied, the photos were in colour but it was found that the best ones are made with those in Grey Scale, a photo was converted into grey scale to show the difference, 3D pictures were saved as jpeg., a few sample pictures were shown.

The more accurate 3D pictures are created by taking two photos of the same subject, with a the second one taken about 100 mm to the right keeping the camera level, then using the same process but these are a lot more difficult to achieve,.

After a break a series of files were sent around the group using AirDrop followed by a general discussion.
