The theme of our meeting was a look at some of our favourite Apps,

Brian demonstrated some features of editing in QuickTime Player, showing the various camera options, sharing your movies including recording whatever was being done on the screen, flipping a movie, speeding up the action.

Barry showed us a mapping and routing app. WAZE a free app. a good SatNav for iPhones, users are able to enter live interaction like road works and any accidents this app was able to track ask why if you have stopped in case here some kind of a hold-up where he was at a particular moment, his speed and informing him of any hazards in front of him.

He also demonstrated his new DashCam, priced at under £100 a very neat DashCam that is fully Mac compatible he also showed us the results of a previous trip.

Jola show her favourite weather apps that showed a forecast for the day and a few days ahead, also the Met Office weather of what was happening at the moment, showing exactly where it was raining.

Joy showed us a rather amusing game ‘Talking Tom Cat’ a cartoon cat that will purr, react to touch and repeat what was said to it.

Annie then showed an aircraft tracking app show where a particular aircraft was, the speed, height and direction of travel and explained that she was able to help a friend who was abroad and waiting for the aircraft to arrive.

In a quick Q&A Michael asked about a problem regarding e-Books.

The final demo was a quick look at how to create an object for 3D printing using TinkerCad a free online app.
