David Moon organiser of Dorchester meetings came to us and gave very comprehensive description of Apple Watch functions and how it interacts with the iPhone.

His presentation showed that is can of course give the time day month and year, playing music that is stored on the iPhone via Bluetooth playing through an external speaker.

It is able to display e-mails together with loads of apps. such as heart monitoring footsteps a calorie count and how many times you have got to your feet.

There is a map that can be used as a SatNav and while you are on foot promo you to turn to left or right by means a a pulse on the wrist, that it can be used to take shots on movies remotely through your iPhone.

We all learned quite a lot and interesting facts from his presentation that was followed by lots of questions with a good feedback from members.

Brian was up next with using Keynote was our next presentation, but not the usual format of a presentation of bullets and text. We were first shown a movie of the presentation that showed how it ran, then it was shown how it was done.
By reducing the page size to 50% you will then be able to see the space around the page where items such as small graphic can be stored before they appear on the page out of sight allowing graphic made ready to be animated.

The demo included moving, rotating and zooming with some movies sliding ing position.
Keynote has loads of themes and animation effects but the do not all have to be used at once, chose one or two, there were quite a lot of questions and feedback, I learned a few things I had not even thought of as well.

After a short break for coffee, there was a Q&A with questions regarding Apple TV mirroring the main Mac, another was why a monitor keep shutting down, Why did a Mac Book always says, no network connection, removing adverts that pop-up in Safari and how the put album cover graphics on on iTunes bought albums.

Please note, there will not be a meeting at Salisbury in December, our meetings will resume on 26th January 2016 in the community space at Tesco Extra Store Southampton Road Salisbury 19:30 - 21:30
