First up was a Q&A with questions regarding iPhone and MacTV
Our presentation was by Brian regarding applications that allow large format designs and printing, the application was Scribus a page layout application similar to the high end page layout applications but a lot cheaper because it is free and is part of the GIMP, LibreOffice (also free) group of applications.
We had a look at an A1 size page where a poster design created in another app. exported to JPEG that was A4 then enlarged to A1.
Scribus is a bit quirky and takes a bit of getting used to, page sizes can range of A down to Quarto with old paper sizes in between such as Elephant, Double Demy and Foolscap.
After a break for a coffee there was a general chat, where Mick was able to help moving audio files across from desktop Mac to iPhone and Mac book.
