Salisbury — Nov 28th 2012

The session started with a lively Q&A session covering things such as applications that run at startup, why Mac A could see Mac B on the network but Mac B couldn't see Mac A and why Safari gives a "blocked plugin" message on certain YouTube videos and requests an update to the Flash plugin but the update doesn't fix it. (We found Firefox works OK with the same plugin)

We then went on to Brian's demo of recording a screen tutorial using Quicktime. This could be whole screen or just part and the results imported into iMovie for further editing. This digressed into using Keynote for making animated Christmas cards!

In the sidebar of Mac B, Mac A was not shown under devices but if you hover the mouse in that area the word "show" appears and clicking that shows the devices on the network. (Show then turns to "hide" should you want to hide them again.)

We never solved the plugin issue in Safari
