Bournemouth — Aug 18th 2009

With the holiday season in full swing we expected a low turnout for this meeting, and indeed were down to nine - but with a visitor from Madrid as well.

Barry Read gave us a demonstration to show how to create a slide show in iDVD from iPhoto (or indeed any other source of photos) with music as well. In this format the slide show can be palyed on any computer and on TVs as well - ideal for sending photos to aunts!

After that we took a look at th first half dozen applications in the Utilities folder to see just what the Mac can do. Much is there to still be explored!

Finally Peter Shepheard ran a slide-show of some stunning photographs of flowers and butterflies, created on a PC and exported sesamlessly to his Mac after which most of us made our way to the Italian restaurant to continue chatting about all things Mac over a meal.

The next Bournemouth meeting will be at a different time of month - September 22nd. Still on a Tuesday though. Looking forward to seeing you all then

Thanks to the three 'volunteer' presenters. What would we do without volunteers!
