We started the meeting with what was hopefully a solution to an iPhoto issue and then carried on to offer advice about which to purchase - iPad2, MacBook Air or the basic MacBook. An interesting evening revolving around the attributes and worth of MobileMe - ably demonstrated by Marco of Solutions. The discussions went on to cover a wider range, amongst other subjects touched on a comparison between SuperDuper and Time Machine. This was to the detriment of the former, as the argument in favour of Time Machine is that it does not interfere with the layout of the hard drive sectors, something which is apparently done by SuperDuper… Read more…

The start of the evenings' programme was not auspicious the presentation on iChat and Skype that Michael had given the previous week at Dorchester had to arrive on a memory stick, as his laptop was away having the hard drive replaced. We started the new format of the meeting with Q&A's on a variety of problems, including how to sort out Wireless Networks, what a convert from the PC could use in place of MS Access - Filemaker was recommended.
