Martin had put together an excellent demonstration of Delicious Library for us. Most, if not all of us knew nothing about it beforehand so were most impressed by it, particularly its ability to read bar codes and connect to Amazon and fill in loads of detail for you - no typing - including jacket artwork (for books and CDs) plus things like a brief synopsis or track listings. It can also keep track of which friend you've loaned something to but has yet to return it!

There were a couple of surprises at this meeting. The first was that my brief couple of tips on using Aperture prompted more questions than I was prepared for - I'm no expert having only used it for a couple of weeks, but it did suggest that as usual, anything to do with photography is a popular subject and clearly, we need to return to Aperture for a more in-depth look at another meeting. The second was that Martin is writing an application for the iPhone/iPod Touch and gave us a demo of where he's got to so far. Difficult to describe but it's all to do with keeping track of meals you've had at restaurants etc. If you want to know more and you have one of these devices, see Martin's post on the discussions board. He's after beta testers.
