Although the subject of this evening’s meeting was not a very glamorous one, it was designed to get people to take a closer look at System Preferences on their macs. This is what Michael did, going through each of the 8 preferences on the top row of the System Preferences pane. Some, like the ones for the Dock, Mission Control, and Spotlight revealed useful ways of getting things the way you want or, in the case of Spotlight, hidden talents such as a very easy method of currency conversion and another of simple arithmetical calculations. There was a respectable attendance of 15 - and nobody fell asleep!
