      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">I have recently recieved an email purporting to be from Apple asking me to update my details with them within the next 48 hours otherwise my email account will be deleted. The request requires full details of my address and credit card details to be sent.<xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
Talking to Apple they admitted that they are having notification of a great number of these requests and asked that the original email be forwarded to abuse@icloud.com for their legal dept to try to take action<xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
Obviously don't reply to the original request!</xhtml:div>

The address of this Apple account is on an eBay server so I have forwarded a copy to abuse@apple.com</xhtml:div>

      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">It's also very common to have an email telling me my account was used to sign in to iCloud/FaceTime etc.  on some device or other. Sometimes it was me :-) and the mail really was from Apple!</xhtml:div>

Apple ID Temporarily Locked<xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
and directing you to <xhtml:br/>
&gt; Validate My Apple/iCloud Account Details<xhtml:br/>
which is a sit that wants to collect your information as per an iCloud registration including credit card info.<xhtml:br/>

So be warned<xhtml:br/>
This is the address they direct you to <xhtml:br/>
