      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">After much vague dithering, I've finally decided that I really ought to clone our Mountain Lion installation before embarking on the Mavericks upgrade so am in the market for an external drive. I also have a few devices (mainly aeromodelling-related) which need a Windows PC to do firmware updates from time to time. My XP laptop is a bit long in the tooth so maybe I should be looking to create a Windows partition on the new drive too.<xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
Any pointers on choosing a hard drive? E.g. Bus powered or power brick, 3.5in or 2.5in? Manufacturers to avoid?<xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
Also any ideas on how best to set up a Windows partition - Emulators or Boot Camp or whatever?<xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
I know I'm being a bit lazy and will need to research this a bit for myself, but a few recommendations just might stop me from putting it all off for another month/ year!</xhtml:div>
