    <content xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" type="xhtml">
      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Hi Ive never used ical in all the years Ive had it or synced it with address book or anything like that nor do I want to do that now. <xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
What I need to do is enter my working pattern and repeat it through a year in advance on a monthly rota basis. <xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
To those days and weekends that I work I then want to add some tasks to be done on those particular days. <xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
Ive just opened ical and had a go and haven't got very far in achieving or being able to work out how to do this kind of thing. Maybe I'm using the wrong calendar ? <xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
Just to reiterate that I don't want to sync the calendar with addressee book or anything like that I just want to set up a simple working calendar based around my monthly work rota and the tasks to be done on a regular basis and then copy those month after month. <xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
Hope you ical guru's can help me out .<xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
Thanks <xhtml:br/>

      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">You can enter your working pattern and if appropriate, make it repeat, either on a regular monthly basis or, using the custom repeat, on say the first Friday of every month. You can add your tasks as notes (or even in the location field so they show in month view) either on an individual event or before you set the repeat if they're all the same.<xhtml:br/>
