      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">I have just dumped all my Google accounts (gmail Facebook chrome etc) for security reasons. Pick them up again later. My question is Why does Google come up every time I call Safari?  Does Google own it?</xhtml:div>

      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Did you choose another search engine in Safari preferences General tab.? This may get rid of Google from Safari.  You can choose another home page there also.</xhtml:div>

      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Thanks. It seems Google is the default page. Don't know why. I did not ask for it. I am having lots of problems at the moment. Just trying to clear everything out like Google that might cause it.</xhtml:div>
