<xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">My wife is recording herself reading Winnie the Pooh for our grandchildren. <xhtml:br/>
We use iTalk on the iPad to record [very straightforward] & I have converted the aiff-C audio files it produces to MPEG-4 on a Mac and reduced the size by about ⅔. <xhtml:br/>
Several times during recording she sneezed and I can't find a way to simply cut them out! <xhtml:br/>
QuickTime only lets me select a portion to <xhtml:em>save</xhtml:em> - and trim away the rest! This means I can not simply snip a bit out of the middle. The help files don't help.<xhtml:br/>
I do not wish to do any very sophisticated editing or buy complex and expensive software for a seemingly small job.<xhtml:br/>
What am I missing? I must be missing something fairly basic!<xhtml:br/>
I would also like to add two audio files to one another - end to end. Is this possible?</xhtml:div>

I have managed to cut out bits [even the noise of page turns!] by using Audacityand then download a plugin that lets me save the finished work as an mp3.<xhtml:br/>
So far so good..<xhtml:br/>
