When exporting using Quicktime iMovie sets it going and gives a time span, I let the Mac get on with it. When I go back after the allotted time it has finished but the Quicktime file is missing and no amount of searching can find it. Which version of iMovie by the way? I exported the movie using the first in the list "command E" and that worked alright.
