      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Does anyone know if its possible to encrypt just one or two folders in OS10.4.10? <xhtml:br/>
 <xhtml:br/>
FileVault seems only to encrypt the whole of my Home Folder and that, for me, is very considerable overkill<xhtml:br/>

I have a small app [Pastor] that encrypts passwords &amp; so on in a format that it determines but I have a few Pages &amp; Numbers documents I would also like to make secure. </xhtml:div>

      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">One solution would be to create a "sparseimage" using Disk Utility. You can apply 128 bit encryption to the image, which then requires a password to mount the disk image. This could be stored in your keychain if required, or alternately, enter a password when you want to mount it!</xhtml:div>
