Currently he is running Tiger, but we plan to get hold of a retail version of Leopard. If anyone has a copy that they may wish to sell then I may be interested. I found the answer on WikiPedia, the last version that supported the universal binaries was iTunes version 9.2.1, in my view the best version of iTunes, even better than 10.0 I have posted the answer here so every one else can benefit.
