      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">My Contacts are not syncing from the Address Book on my iMac to my iPhone despite having ticked the appropriate box in iTunes.   I notice that there are none of my Groups appearing in the window on iTunes - where you have an option to sync all Contacts or just selected Groups, so I suspect this may be the cause of the problem but I can't overcome this issue  - any ideas anyone?</xhtml:div>

      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">suggest you check the advanced section at the bottom of the INFO tab when you sync your phone. replace the contacts on your phone one time only, and that may help you establish a solid connection to keep all in sync.</xhtml:div>

      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Thanks Gordon,tried this but it hasn't cleared the problem.  I may try syncing the phone with my MacBook instead to see whether the issue persists.  At the moment I'm not sure whether it is a problem with the phone or the iMac!</xhtml:div>

      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">On my iMac and MacBook I'm running 10.7.2 and on the iPhone 5.0.1.  Trying to sync using the MacBook was just the same result as the iMac.</xhtml:div>

      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Following a phone conversation with Mick Burrell, we have cracked this one.  Guided by Mick, I logged onto my iCloud a/c on iCloud.com  and was able to establish that my contacts were recorded there.  Then on my iPhone I checked my iCloud settings and after I put my password in, the contacts appeared - an obvious slip up with hindsight but I was thrown by the syncing window in iTunes which didn't show any of my Address Book groups, so I thought the problem lay on my iMac  - thanks Mick.</xhtml:div>
