<xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">While watching a video about iCloud I was presented with a popup from prizegiveaway.org Knowing NOT to click on the OK button I clicked on the X to send this away. But it did not it opened another window saying I had a chance of winning an iPhone 4S. The only button available was OK and there was no way I was clicking on that, but it would not go away. I force quit Safari shut down and restarted back came the pesky popup as soon as I opened Safari.<xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
I found, using my PC, that others have been struggling with this.<xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
I eventually got rid of it by force quitting Safari disconnecting from my router. Rebooting and going to Safari Preferences and selecting Remove All Website Data.<xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
I don't know if this was the correct thing to do but it seems to have worked.<xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
There is some advice on the web saying go to System Preferences > Flash Player and block locally stored objects but I cannot find FlashPLayer in my Preferences and don't recall ever having installed it.<xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
Has anyone else come across this?<xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
Does anyone know or can surmise if it is likely to have done any invisible nasties?</xhtml:div>
