The "Logical Computing Machine" that Alan Turing (of Sherborne School and Bletchley Park de-coding) devised as a thought-experiment is attracting attention beyond mathematicians and IT geeks.<xhtml:br/>

At the recent Newcastle ScienceFest <xhtml:a href="http://makerfaireuk.com/" target="blank">MakerFaire at Newcastle ScinceFest</xhtml:a>  (11-12 March) one of Software Engineer Jim MacArthur's Turing LC Machines was on display with a description:<xhtml:a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-12893426" target="blank">photo of his simple machine</xhtml:a><xhtml:br/>

It looks as if it was manufactured using <xhtml:a href="http://www.freedomofcreation.com/home/10-years-of-3d-printing-as-seen-by-janne-kyttanen-2" target="blank">3D printing</xhtml:a><xhtml:br/>
