It's currently taking me about 6 hours but I've got the distinct impression that it used to be quicker. There's oodles of hard drive space but a mere 4GBs of memory. As an extreme example, if you burn a DVD from iDVD, it can spend several hours 'rendering assets' before the actual burn process even starts. I usually burn two discs and the second one takes no time at all.
