I would prefer it to go as a pdf icon. How do I achieve this please? If the pdf is above a certain size it will just display as an icon anyway or of course you could create a zip file (right click or CTRL-Click the pdf and choose the archive option) which will always display as an icon. May I ask why you want it to display at your end as an icon? It's not a significant problem, just personal preference. Choosing the archive option works as does Mark's suggestion of ctrl-click the attachment. Many thanks for both replies. I have a bog standard plain one and can get the same result by control clicking the .pdf letter and just click the 'show as icon' option. It takes a short time to do this but it works. Mick Burrell said something similar up above.
