      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">It is probably because of some commercial rivalry and also because flash is becoming a bit long in the tooth and there are more modern alternatives in the wings.  Apple being apple wants to be ahead of the game.  Ref the lack of a floppy drive and parallel ports ( what were they) on the early iMacs.</xhtml:div>
