<xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Maybe it's the credit crunch, but my Time Machine has hung at around a quarter of the stuff to be backed up onto a 1Tb external drive (660Mb of 2.4Gb. As the drive still has over 700Gb free it can't be because it's filling up too quickly! I did wonder why it seemed to be backing up so constantly, and in fact the last back-up was on July 13th, but I was fooled by the constant rotation of the icon in the menu bar. Further, it doesn't respond to being told to stop backing up. I have turned off the external drive, ejected it and remounted it, but to no avail. Any ideas welcome!</xhtml:div>
