Having purchased the correct discs I have tried to burn a label onto the disc. Lacie tells me that I need to update the software in order for it to work. I have downloaded the software and it has appeared as 'lightscribe.pkg. When I install the 'pkg' onto the hard drive it does not update the application, i.e. it remains as version 1.1 instead of version 1.4136.1 which is on the 'lightscibe.pkg'. What am I doing wrong? I'm assuming the simple labeler package is the one you are referring to. Make sure you have the latest version of their system software as well. Lightscribe only supports greyscale/black and white. So if you want colour save your money on Lightscribe discs and get yourself a labelling kit.
