That's supposed to be a feature but it doesn't work too well. It sometimes recognizes my writing in Pages but usually doesn't & never in Mail. However I didn't buy it for that & don't feel inclined to use handwriting recognition. I would like to be able to draw things with the 'pen', including words, without them turning into typed text. This would be useful for writing/drawing on some images/documents/maps etc. Perhaps your Salisbury member has the answer?</xhtml:div>

A little more info: I can use the tablet in Photoshop with various brushes/pencil sizes but I don't seem to have a means of 'doodling' or drawing in another program in spite of installing the software that came with the tablet.<xhtml:br/>
I did manage to make my signature on something that popped up on the screen but can't get back to whatever program that was.</xhtml:div>
