      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">I have successfully recorded audio and video (with audio) from external USB devices into the mac using quicktime.<xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
Unfortunately, the recordings are always mono, despite being from stereo sources. I understand that Quicktime can record in stereo -somehow!<xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
Can anyone direct me to a hidden menu/ button that changes the audio mode?<xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
Thanks<xhtml:br/>

Update: I retrieved a Soundblaster USB audio capture box that I first used with windows. This worked with the mac and produced stereo recordings. So it seems that the two devices that I tried previously were only capable of mono. Grrr! This is despite the assertions on the Amazon listing.<xhtml:br/>

As I have been told on numerous occasions "buy cheap- buy twice!"</xhtml:div>
