      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">There seems to be a problem with the latest Big Sur (11.2) and Catalina (10.15.7) updates and certain MBP versions that can leave the battery stuck at 1% charge.<xhtml:br/>

There are supplementary updates out that seek to avoid this so make sure you're up to date. If your battery does suffer, Apple has a replacement programme <xhtml:a href="https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212163" target="blank">here</xhtml:a>.<xhtml:br/>

Note that Apple does not explicitly say that the updates have caused the problem but it's hard to read it any other way.</xhtml:div>
