This appears to be stopping me emptying it. A message comes up saying " Press the Option key when emptying the Trash". However the "Empty Trash" line is grey under the Finder. I can't open the Trash because of the locked image. Any suggestions please on how I can empty the Trash & remove the locked image. All is back to normal this morning after I shut down the MacBook (Intel) overnight. I don't know why I couldn't open the trash yesterday (see above) but this morning I was able to drag out the locked files & unlock them as Chris suggested above. After replacing them in the trash it could then be emptied. Thanks again.
