The migration of my details from my old Mac seemed to work well taking a few hours to complete. Some third party applications do not work on the new operating system as I expected. However although Mail seems to have gathered most of my information, my iCloud and Googlemail accounts receive mail, but the accounts I have with my own ISP (Plusnet) don't. All the relevant account details seem to be the same. Your old machine will probably have deleted mail from the POP server so there may be nothing to download. In fact all the accounts are IMAP. I solved the problem by deleting and reinstalling them. I had just finished the process when your email came in. Thanks for your help.
