      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">My Mom really doesn't like the notification popped up on the top right corner of her iMac screen. She will click on "later" as the other alternatives ( try again in one hour, update) are not better in her mind.  Is there a way to turn these off ? (as for some reason it really disturbs her to be bothered with it every day)</xhtml:div>

Perhaps the best option is under "Turn off notifications for an app: In Notifications preferences, select the app on the left, then choose None for the app alert style on the right. You no longer receive any notifications for the app" and apply it to all apps.</xhtml:div>
