<xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">After Mavericks 10.9.4 was recently installed on my iMac this message occasionally appears on the desktop:<xhtml:br/>

"The system extension “/System/Library/Extensions/AppleUSBEthernetHost.kext” was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product’s vendor for an update". <xhtml:br/>

I haven't a clue what it means or if I should do anything about it. Everything seems to be working reasonably well as far as I can see. Some programmes running a little slower, as Mick warned and occasional freeze-ups. Nothing really serious. Can anyone enlighten me please about the message? Roy</xhtml:div>

If you search using the name of the file you'll find various (not straightforward for the cautious!) suggestions all of which have worked for some but not others. My suggestion would be to live with it (if you can) until Apple release iTunes 11.4.1 which will hopefully fix it.</xhtml:div>
