<xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Hi Doug. There are several utilities that should recover data from your camera card, try googling <xhtml:br/>
> camera card recovery osx <.<xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
There is a great site for exploring the ubiquitous Time Machine's complexities here: <xhtml:a href="http://pondini.org/TM/Troubleshooting.html" target="blank">http://pondini.org/TM/Troubleshooting.html</xhtml:a>.<xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
While Time Machine really is great software, relying on it (alone) for backup is incautious, and it's sensible to have a clone (or two) with separate file backups for safety and to avoid problems. It's a Sparse Bundle thing.<xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
For those new to Time Machine: always use the TMC interface to access files -- and never simply "copy" a file out of the TMC folder. These may look like the real thing in the Finder, but actually represent something rather more complex.<xhtml:br/>
<xhtml:br/>
You may have to say goodbye to your TMC backup if there is corruption in it, and don't forget to check the drive/partition for proper functioning. If there is a drive problem you may have to erase and reformat it (or the partition). Let us know what worked for you.</xhtml:div>

I have with Apple guidance erased my HD and installed first Moutain Lion the updated to Mavericks and all is working correctly but when I migrate my info from time machine the fault is back.
