(Apart from sticking a bit of paper on top of the printer and writing numbers on it). I ask because I bought a new black cartridge in January, and have today had to buy a new one, and I'm pretty damn sure the old one has not, as the suppliers claim it will, printed 600 A4 pages. There's no way of working out how much of your page you cover with ink - unless you wanted to draw a filled black rectangle to be 5% of an A4 sheet and see how many copies you can print.
