      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">I have installed PSE 6 successfully &amp; used it several times but it now fails to open when it reaches the point of "Initializing ICC Engine". I then have to do a "Force Quit" to open PSE 4 which continues to work. I have put the problem to Adobe &amp; await their reply but in the meantime I wonder if any member here has experienced this?</xhtml:div>

      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Thanks John. I didn't repair permissions but will soon. However I have just found that if I switch off the external LaCie drive then PSE 6 opens! Must be a conflict somewhere I guess.</xhtml:div>

      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Hi Roy I had this problem in PSE 4 would not open after I upgraded my Epson Scanner software, I noticed a flag stating the Twain plug-in would not load so I removed this plug-in and PSE 4 now runs OK, I know my version is not v6 but it may be worth a look at the plug-ins. </xhtml:div>

      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Thanks Brian. It could be a plug-in which is causing the problem but I haven't upgraded the scanner software &amp; of course I need the scanner plug-in for importing into PSE 6 (or 4). Since switching off the external drive PSE 6 is OK so I think I will continue like this because I don't need the drive on when running PSE 6.</xhtml:div>
