AweCleaner for Mac - has anyone experience of it?

This app claims to be an all in one Mac cleaner and is on offer at macZot at the moment.

its claim goes on:

" ... not only cleans up all junk files inside your Mac, but it also helps you uninstall useless applications, find and remove duplicate files/large files, manage disks and startup items. It can do more things than you think!"

I am tempted as I know I have a lot of duplication & crud.

I avoid everything like this - I've yet to discover a human who can tell what I think is junk let alone an app ;-)

Shock 'n Awe.

A great way to achieve a MacKeeper infection (or similar). Stay well away. Flee for your life. Mick hits it on the nail: "I've yet to discover a human who can tell what I think is junk let alone an app ;-"

Stay well clear Mark.

I had a "Tramatic Experiance" (Scottish terminology) a few years ago from a similar clear up. It's not worth the bother.

Wow!

Thank you all for the warning - I should have known better than to even consider it!

Unfortunately my wife is an uncannily good junk detector in the real world - but thats another story.
